Moving in the European Union to and from Spain
Wisse Moving organises your move from Spain to any country in the European Union. We can also collect your belongings in a country of the European Union, and bring them to Spain. We offer options with and without packaging of boxes, and without and with furniture disassembly / assembly. There is the possibility of temporarily storing your goods in one of our storage facilities, and we also offer transport insurance on all our services.
If you are moving in the European Union there is usually no need to go through customs.
Packaging of boxes
For moving in the European Union we offer two options: you can either pack your own boxes, or our teams of professional packers can take care of it. There are several advantages if Wisse Moving deals with packaging:
- Time saving: on the day of collection our team will pack everything in boxes. You don’t have to do the packaging beforehand, and you can spend your time on other things. Time is money!
- You do not have to purchase packaging material separately. Our team will come to your home with all the necessary materials to carry out the service.
- The packaging will be done in a professional way. Our removal men have years of experience packaging, day after day.
Storage
In many cases, our clients have to leave their current apartment before a certain date, but they do not have a new place to live in the other country yet. In this case we could offer temporary storage in one of our storage facilities. There are options to store your belongings almost anywhere in Europe. We could collect your move in Milan, Prague, Amsterdam, Helsinki or wherever on the day of your choice (subject to availability). We take it to storage, and keep it until you have the new address. Everything is possible, just ask us!
Transport insurance
Wisse Moving offers transport insurance on all our moves in the European Union. The insurance premium is based on the value of the goods. We can also insure the transport of vehicles, and the time your goods are in storage. Contact us for more information.
Vehicle transport
We have options to transport your vehicle from Spain to many destinations in Europe. There are possibilities to transport your car in groupage car freight trucks. We can also transport your motorcycle or scooter inside the moving truck.
Do I have to pay VAT when moving in the European Union?
Wisse Moving is a company based in Spain. We prepare an official invoice for each move in the European Union that we make, as well as for moves in other places. Payments are always made by bank transfer. Depending on your situation, you will have to pay VAT (Value Added Tax) on our services or not.
- An individual will always have to pay VAT 21% for any service within the EU.
- A company based in Spain will always have to pay VAT 21% for any moving service within the EU.
- A non-Spanish company with a valid European VAT number would not pay VAT. If you don’t have a valid VAT number you would pay VAT. You can check if the VAT number is valid here.

Moving to Germany
We collect your move in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Palma de Mallorca or anywhere else in Spain, and deliver it to your new home in Germany. There are options for groupage transport almost weekly to many parts of Germany. If you move to Munich, Cologne, Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt am Main or anywhere else in Germany, you can rely on Wisse Moving!
Moving to Belgium
Belgium and its capital Brussels are home to many European institutions. Wisse Moving has experience in moving EU workers from Spain to Belgium, and from Belgium back to Spain. We offer complete transport insurance in both Belgium and Spain. In many places in Belgium it is necessary to make deliveries or collection with an outside elevator. Wisse Moving can take care of the outside elevator and the necessary parking permits. Count on us to make your move to Brussels or to anywhere else in Belgium a success!
Moving to Cyprus
We have a regular service by sea container between Spain and Cyprus. If you only carry boxes we could make the move to Cyprus in a part-load sea container. From the port of Limassol we organise delivery throughout the Greek part of the island. We can also take care of transporting your vehicle to Cyprus.
Moving to Denmark
Wisse Moving handles your move to Denmark by part-load truck. We put together several removals in a large truck that covers the route between Spain and Denmark. In this way we ensure that you always have the best price with optimal service. If necessary we could offer temporal storage in Copenhagen.
Moving to Finland
Lately there are many clients moving from Spain to Finland. There are many multinationals in Helsinki, and qualified professionals from around the world find work there. We have a storage facility on the outskirts of Helsinki. Depending on the volume of your move, we would transport it by sea container, or by truck by road. We also do removals from Finland to Spain, with a complete packaging service.
Moving to France
Every year we carry out dozens of removals from Spain to France, and from France to Spain. We have weekly groupage transport from many areas of Spain to many parts of France. There are also direct transport possibilities in a dedicated truck depending on the origin and destination. We have agents throughout France to make deliveries and collections in the cities that have restricted access for large trucks.
Moving to Greece
We carry out removals between Spain and Greece by sea container, or by truck. Depending on the destination in Greece and the volume of your move, we will find the option that best suits your needs. Together with our agents in Athens we can deliver and collect your move even in the most difficult areas of the city. We solve access problems in neighbourhoods with restricted access for large trucks and narrow streets. We also have a service to the Greek islands, such as Mykonos, Lesbos, Ios, Kos etc etc.
Moving to Ireland
We have a regular service to move to Ireland from Spain. Collection of your move anywhere in Ireland is also possible, and we deliver it to your new home in Spain. We take care of packing your belongings so that everything reaches its destination well. Moving to Ireland is by truck / ferry or sea container. We always find the option that best suits your needs.
Moving to Italy
There are weekly options to transport your goods from Spain to Italy and vice versa. According to your preferences we pack your belongings in boxes, or you can take care of the packaging yourself. In most cities in Italy there are access restrictions for large trucks. That’s why we have agents in most cities to be able to deliver or collect your move even on the narrowest and most inaccessible streets. Depending on the situation, we can use an outside elevator and deal with parking permits.
Moving to Malta
We carry out the removals between Spain and Malta by sea container. If you do not have a lot of belongings, and if you do not have large furniture, then we also offer the option of transporting them by a groupage container. If you move to the fabulous city of La Valletta, or another less accessible place, we will deal with parking permits. We also offer temporal storage and outside elevator service on the island.
Moving to The Netherlands
We have groupage options every week for your move to the Netherlands. Delivery and collection are possible in all parts of the country. We will deal with parking permits, and depending on the site, outside elevators. The Netherlands, the country where Wisse Moving has its roots, has no secrets for us. We even work in the most complicated city centres, such as Utrecht, The Hague or Amsterdam.
Moving to Sweden
We carry out removals between Spain and Sweden by sea container or by moving truck. Depending on the exact origin or destination of your move, and the volume of your belongings, we will find the best solution.
